This year to me had its ups and down. To me, one of the best parts this year at school was that I made some amazing friends. I also achieved some goals too! One of my biggest goals was to become a healthier version of myself and to workout more often. The past few months doing this has been a struggle but hey, that’s what a fitness journey is all about! I’m hoping this summer that I can get a job with my best friend, hangout with friends and to just live my summer days to the fullest! I think that we will continue having school online if they don’t find a cure anytime soon. P.s Thanks for being a great teacher!

DeleteThis year I only achieved one of my goals and it was to get a little bit better marks from the beginning of the year to second term. But didn't have enough time to achieve the rest of them. If we go back to normal my summer plans are to swim in my pool that I am getting next Friday. Hang out with friends, have people over go to peoples houses,etc.I think that the next school year we will be in school but I think that in the middle of the school year again there will be a second wave of the coronavirus.
ReplyDeleteThis year I achieved a few of my goals. I got better marks in term two, I was better organized and I made some really good friends this year too! This summer I was supposed to work at my summer camp but obviously that got cancelled because of Covid-19 so I'm not to sure what I'll be doing this summer because we won't be going on our family vacation either. I do have plans to hangout with friends while social distancing if that rule still needs to be maintained. I'm not sure what next year will look like. School could be online or not so that is the biggest factor for next year right now.

DeleteI think the best part of my school year was getting closer with some people that I wasn't friends with last year and hanging out with my friends all the time. I think I achieved most of my goals this and I'm satisfied with my grades because I tried my best. This summer since we can't go anywhere I think me and my family might go camping or get a cottage. I think that in September school will probably be online but I hope not.

DeleteI think that my goal for this year was to do better in science but since I didn't even get to start term three I guess I didn't really accomplish my goal. Usually in Summer I play soccer or football to pass the time, but this year with the pandemic I can't even get onto the soccer field without having to jump over the fence, so there's no way that I'll be able to do any sort of team sport, honestly, I think Summer gonna be very boring this year.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of my school year was getting closer with new people who are now my very close friends. My main goal during part of the school year was to do better in math which I did because I went from a 73 in 1st term to an 80 in 2nd. My overall goals for the year would have been to boost my marks in every subject in term 3 but since term 3 didnt happen I couldnt really achieve my goal. I think next school year will start online and I think school will only resume once they get a vaccine. This summer will obviously not be the same, but i will be doing lots of social distancing with my friends and family. Also, me and my family are thinking of going to florida to go stay with my aunt at the end of june if the borders end up opening. We are also thinking of renting a cottage for a week instead. I had a great time learning in your class this year Sir!!!

DeleteOne of the best parts of the school year was having fun with my friends. I was fortunate enough to have the same schedule of two of my close friends so classes were never boring.I was able to achieve many the goals i've set for myself in and out of school. Such as, making honour roll, improving in dance and making new friends. I don't really have plans for this summer, I think i'll just enjoy being outside. I'm not sure what school will be like in the future, but I can just hope that even if it's online or in person I have Mr. Katz as my english teacher again.

DeleteAcademically, the school year was amazing. I achieved a lot of my goals and I did as I expect myself to do. The best part of the school year was becoming friends with or getting closer to the people that mean the most to me. I made a lot of new friends that I know will have my back in times of crisis. It feels really good to know that you have people who will support you through anything. It gets harder everyday to find people like this. For the summer, I plan on getting the best tan and relaxing a little bit. The school year was especially stressful for me this year and I’m so excited to finally step away from it all. I really hope I will be able to hang out with my friends as well. I’m not sure what next year will look like, but I’m looking forward to staying positive. Thank you Mr.Katz for all that you have done for us, I had an amazing year in English.

ReplyDeleteThis year, was definitely different than most years. I did really have a fun year in and out of school. This year has been one of my favorite so far! One of my favorite parts of school was playing soccer at st. Thomas. It was really fun and exciting playing with some of my best friends. I don't really have any plans for the summer but i do hope that sports are able to come back. I hope i can spend more time with my friends since i haven't seen a lot of them since school ended. There are a lot of possibilities with next year and think were just going to have to wait and find out. It was kind of sad that we never got to really finish the year.
Overall, this school year hasn't been fun inside of school. The only way that this year was any fun was outside of school with people I met inside of school. I don't really set any goals so none were failed or achieved. My summer plans are to play video games with my friends go out with my friends (hopefully) and play the upcoming soccer season (hopefully). I think next year will be 1 week in school 1 week online at the beginning and about in January I think everything will resume.

DeleteThe beginning of school was good but corona really ruined everything. The only thing that was really fun was being with my friends at school which i really miss right now. The only goals i set was to improve my grades in term three which never happened because term three barely counts. So my goal was not achieved
ReplyDelete:( My summer was going to be great because we were thinking about going to Ireland with family friends but not anymore. Also soccer which also is not going to happen. Wanted to spend a lot of times with friends but also might not happen. Next year will probably be online school which i dont want, i want to be able to see my friends and want my life to get back warning.

DeleteGoing into this school year I was so excited! A few months into the school year I got a scholarship to LCC. I wanted to have the best and last school year I could with my best friends but then corona came. I had lots of fun learning new things with my friends and getting to know all my classmates but this year I didn't get honor role sadly but im still gonna try for next year at my new school. I miss everyone at school. I miss waiting for my friends to get their books for class and walking with them, I miss going to lunch then outside and playing around together, I miss everything and I'm extremely sad its all over. I'm gonna miss St.Thomas so much.

DeleteThe best part of my school year was getting closer with my friends. I got decent grades this year but I did better last year. I'm really hoping that we have an actual summer this year, but I highly doubt that it's going to happen. If the covid rules are lifted I really want to see my family and my grandparents. I also really want to make plans with my friends because I miss them. I think that there are going to be many rules in place, like having to eat lunch in our classes.
ReplyDeleteI don't really remember what happened this school year but I guess the entire year was pretty good. I'd like to think I achieved my goals (I dont remember if had any goals too) but I knew I wanted to get better grades in math and I did. I was supposed to go to disney this summer but because of rona I can't. And if I'm able to I'll go to my granparent's in winnipeg. Next year I feel will be different, assuming that corona is still alive. Classes might even be virtual.

DeleteThe best part of my school year was being able to be with my friends and get closer to them. My goal for this year was to get better grades in some classes for term 3, since I wasn't doing the greatest in term 1 and 2, but that never happened because of the virus. I had plans to go to Florida with my family but that can't happen anymore, so that sucks. I'd say that the next school year might still be online school.
ReplyDeleteThis year really was different from any other of my school years, because this whole pandemic was totally unexpected. It's pretty sad that we can't finish our grade 8 year as a group, but I'm glad that at least we could do online classes to end off the year on a high note. Although the year wasn't finished, I did accomplish some of my goals. I improved in the subjects that I needed to improve in which is awesome. My summer plans are just to keep busy, even if it may not be my ideal summer especially the fact that we may not be able to see people for awhile. Hopefully we can still be able to hang out with people, but I guess we will just have to see. I hope next year we will be able to have a full year, but this year was really awesome.
ReplyDeleteThis year was crazy. It most definitely did not go like I expected. I thought that this was juts going to be another boring school full of work and tests, but I was wrong. I got some teachers that gave no homework and looked at tests a different way. It was honestly a great year and I was a little bit sad that it had to come to such an unexpected end.

DeleteThe best part of my school year was getting to see all my friends and new teachers that were assigned to me. I was able to accomplish many of my goals, which were trying to get honor role and getting closer with some people. The only summer plans that I have is going to my cottage with my family for the entire summer, which is always fun in my opinion. I feel as if next year things are going to be the exact same as what we are doing now.

DeleteI can't think of the best time of my school year, all of it was terrible. I don't remember setting any goals for myself this year because I am a disappointment. I don't have any plans for the summer, I will probably be with my neighbours for most of the time because I am really good friends with them. I do not know what the next school year will look like because I cannot see into the future, though I don't imagine it will be very special.
ReplyDeletethis school was crazy but there were definitely some good memories like swim practices and carnival day. I did set a lot of goals for this school year and I managed to achieve some of them as well. For example, trying out or being on a sports team and i achieved that by being on this year’s swim team. Another one was to stop procrastinating on my school work and it did take me a while to get used to that but i achieved it by managing my time well and this goal improved my grades a lot since i was actually putting time and effort in my work. Some of my summer plans are to stay fit, socialize but mostly virtually due to coronavirus. I feel like the first half of the next school year will be online since coronavirus will probably still be there but I hope that online school wont last long so we can finally have a fun and normal school year.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great school year, I made a bunch of new friends and formed new connections. I achieved my goal of not failing any classes so far. I’m so happy about the nice weather since I get to start my summer early. The skateparks are open to, so that's where I'll be everyday. Next year will definitely be a lot different, probably with a lot more online things.
