There is MUCH consideration about having FOUR (4) day work and school weeks,
however, school and work hours would be a bit longer each day.
What are your thoughts about a FOUR (4) day work/school week?
What are the advantages? Disadvantages?

Explain.
I honestly think that having a four day school week with longer days would be much worse. I think it would be worse because we will still be given the same amount of work and it will need to be completed fasted or we will be doing it during our day off so in my opinion there's no point. I much rather be done school early and have the whole rest of my day instead of being done later and having to do homework and have no time to do anything else. I just think that for me it would be more stressful.
ReplyDeleteyes same with me I rather waking up early and having the rest of my day than doing school at night. Great blog!
DeleteI think that having a four day school week would be worse than it already is. We already have to wake up super early and we would be probably given more work with less time to be completed. If we have more wok due then it would mean more stress, less free time, because we would probably be doing most of our work in our free time given so basically we wouldn't really have a life other than school. Yes I know we have missed a lot of school and we need to catch up on things and learn more things but I dont think more hours or school time would be necessary.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, great blog!
DeleteI agree! Great blog
DeleteI agree that we would be doing our work in our free time, great blog!
DeletePersonally, I don't really care if we have four or five day weeks because in the end it will be the same amount of school. The advantages of having a five day week is you don't have as many hours of school in a day compared to a four day. The disadvantages of this is that you don't have that extra day with no sports or anything. You can just have that day to do your homework and watch TV. On the other hand, four day have that extra day and its one less day were you have to wake up at 630 but the thing is your gonna have to do around another two hours of school. If i had to chose one option i would prefer to do four days instead of five.
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog.I agree but I would like to have a 4 day week.
DeleteI think having a four day week would be very stressful. You would have less time to complete more work, if you miss a day of school you would be behind on work and the work can pile up quickly. I also don't think it's the best idea because most teachers won't respect a three day weekend. What I mean by that is, that they will assign more work on Thursday's since we have "three days of rest."
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, I agree.
DeleteI completely agree with the four day school week. Yes we will have more school in a day but we will also have an extra day every week off and to hang out with friends. Its pretty much a ped day but every week instead. The advantages is that you will always have a 3 day weekend at all times and have one more extra day to do whatever you want. The disadvantages tho are that we will have more school in one day than we do now which will suck but when it comes to the end of the week we will all be happy.I just wanted to know tho will we still have ped days on Mondays or will that count as a ped day every week
ReplyDeleteI think that having a four day school week would be very stressful. We wouldn't have much time to complete our homework and our assignments, and I feel like our work will pile up. I usually have zoom calls in the morning, so I enjoy my day and then do my work at night. I think that I would end up doing my work on my free day, which defeats the purpose.
ReplyDeleteGood blog.
DeleteI completely agree, great blog.
DeleteI do think that a four day week would be good because I know that a lot of people are very stressed out about the amount of work they are getting. I can't think of any disadvantages of a four day week so I think that this is a great idea.I'm ok with longer hours because even now I don't find that I'm getting too much work so longer hours shouldn't bother me.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I wouldn’t want to have a four day school week because it is already hard enough to stay on track for the amount of hours we are already doing at home. I think I, and lots of other students, would have a hard time going longer each day. Plus, I really don’t think we mind as a whole that we work for five days in a row. It is the same as we have always done. We’re also not busy because there isn’t really anything else to do.
ReplyDeleteI do think its already enough hours as well!!
DeleteI like the idea of having a four day week but I dont like the fact that the days are going to be longer. The advantage of having a four day week and more hours is that we can use the extra day to finish all our work since well probably need some more time to complete it. The reason i feel we need more time is because we havent been doing any work for weeks and its not easy to jump back in. The disadvantage is that i thinnk kids do not wanna be in school for longer especially since the weather since its almost summer. Students want to go enjoy the weather and be done with school early. In the end, if having a four day week would mean more hours of school, I would rather stick to our 5 day week with the hours we have now.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! I like the four day week idea too!
DeleteI wouldn't want more days as well. Great blog!
DeleteI love the idea of having a four day week but adding more hours each day makes me not want that. I believe that right now we have enough work hours during the day and shouldn't add more because then what's the point in having a four day week if in the long run, it's going to pretty much be the same amount of hours a week. The advantage is you get an extra day at home to do your homework for school and if you're working, it gives you that extra time to relax however the disadvantage is that with the extra hours of work on the work days, it will almost be equivalent to having a full 5 day week.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of having only four days of school per week but adding more hours would just be ruining the whole concept. Four days of school would be the right move in our situation right now because it's very hard for us students to get back into the rhythm of going to school and waking up early again. Also, it doesn't help when teachers are giving us a ton of homework as if we have been in school all this time. I feel as if an advantage would be getting an extra day to do your work that's assigned to you and a disadvantage would be having more hours of school.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic idea and I think we should do it. It's completely reasonable to have longer days and such to make up for the missing fifth day. If this idea becomes a reality we will have no more crappy Mondays ever again because of work and school. There are definitely more pros than cons.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.

DeleteI think that this is a smart idea, but not really ideal for me. Personally I would rather have shorter days but more, than have long days to make up for the fifth day lost. I like having time to relax after school, and I have after school activities, so later school would definitely change my schedule a lot. I think those are the advantages, but then the advantages are that we will have a good day to relax, or just to take time for ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's a good idea because then we have more days off of school, even though school days become longer. It might affect people's schedules, and that's probably a bad thing. That's definitely a con. Another con is that we'll have less time to do homework after school, since we get home later. But I'd definitely like if this happened.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the con!

ReplyDeleteTo me, I don’t think it’s a good idea to have 4 day school weeks with longer hours. Personally, I get super tired towards the end of the day because we’ve been sitting at a desk and working our brains for almost 7 hours a day! I think that there are many cons to this idea but also more pros.
Honestly i would like less school obviously and it would be less a day but i wouldnt really like longer hours. When i would come back from school i would be pretty tired sometimes so longer hours would be a bit more tough.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a great thing to have an extra day off school each week, even if you did have to go to school for an hour more each day.I think one big advantage would be that we'd have more time to do homework on the weekends and it wouldn't clash with our ordinary plans on weekdays. But I do think that with an even longer day the students would be even more tired.
ReplyDeletei agree with you, we will have more time to do homework. great blog!
DeleteI think a four day work week is a good idea because it will give time for teachers and students to relax, spend some time with their family, friends, go outside and more. 5 days work weeks can get really stressful which causes depression and it affects the mental health of students and teachers since they are overwhelmed with work.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there are some disadvantages as well. Like, if we go back to school in september, a five day work week will be a big change for everyone. They will have to change their whole routine. It will also take very long to get used to. And during a four day work week, the work hours will be longer and that's not good because everyone won't be able to get a break and some time to themselves.
I agree. Great blog!

ReplyDeleteI think that this is a good idea because five days a week always seemed like too muhc and then we only had two days to relax. The weekedn always went by so fast and I always had a lot of homework during the weekend so it never actually felt like I had a weekend anyways. It always just felt like it was constantly school.
