They were hit with winds up to 125 kilometers per hour and 76 centimeters of snow!!!

To be honest I don’t really like the cold that much. I always love the first snow but I don’t really like the cold that comes with it. Even though I don’t really like winter, I like the things that comes with it. I love going skiing and skating but when it’s -30, I don’t like it as much. During those snowy days I love doing all those fun activities. If it’s too cold outside then my family and I usually watch movies together. If we didn’t have the kind of cold we have, then I would love winter.

DeleteI honestly don't love winter but I don't find it that bad either. I do prefer summer but I love winter activities like sledding and skating. On cold snowy days I like to bake, play outside or invite friends over. I like that Canada has all 4 seasons because I don't think I would like it if it was hot all year round. I enjoy having hot chocolate on cold days and going tubing and if we didn't have winter I wouldn't be able to do these things. I have a good snowy memory of when, me my dad and my sister went skating downtown. It was a snow day so we didn't have school and spent the whole day together.

DeleteIn my opinion, I really enjoy winter but, it does have its ups and downs. For instance, a good thing is that we can go skating at the odr (outdoor rink). A bad thing that it could be very very cold. During snowy days, I like to either watch a movie inside, play hockey, go skiing etc.. One of my favorite snow memories was when all of my friends and I went to the odr and played hockey for about 3 hours. It was so much fun!

DeletePersonally I detest winter, I find that it is the dumbest season out of all 4. It is so cold and you can barely do anything except go outside and play in the snow and freeze yourself to death but in the summer there are so much better things like going outside an actually enjoying yourself in hot weather. Usually during the cold days of winter I usually just go downstairs and go on face time with one of the boys or sometimes I will go out to like Fairview or to a community center near my house where you can swim or go in the gym and play some sports.

DeleteI don't love winter because it is always a really cold and it sucks to walk to school in the morning. However I do love it when there is enough snow to give us a snow day. during the winter. When it's so cold that I can't go outside, I will spend most of my time watching Netflix or Disney+.

DeleteI usually like winter because of how pretty it is outside and because having a change in the weather is fun , but these past years the winters have been really long and tiring. When it’s super cold and nasty outside I like to make myself some hot chocolate, get under some blankets and watch a movie with some friends or family. One of my best winter memories was a few years ago when I went to a party with my friends and we went sledding at our neighbourhood hill for a few hours, then we got home and watched a movie together.

DeleteI personally hate winters because I find them depressing and boring. Because of the cold wind outside, it makes me lazy and I always feel like staying at home and just lie on my bed the whole day. The wind is also another reason I don't like going outside, which is why I don't do any winter activities. On cold and snowy days, I usually just like to stay at home and watch Netflix the whole day or I just like texting my friends. I sometimes also do homework because I leave all my homework to the snowy days since I know that I won't be going outside those days.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite snowy memory is when I went to a two day camp in January with my class, we went somewhere up north and it was really cold and there was a lot of snow.We did many activities like snowshoeing, cross country skiing and etc. But my favorite part was when we had a bonfire and we roasted marshmallows there. It was really fun and nice except the part where I almost got frostbite because I wasn’t wearing gloves.

DeletePersonally,I love winter. I look forward to a lot of things in winter, like my birthday,Christmas, New year's, etc. I like snow, because I find it's pretty to look out and see snow. It's fun when it's snowy and not too cold out, because it's the perfect time that you can go outside without freezing. My favourite snowy memory was the time that we went tubing in Mont-Tremblanc. We went two years ago, and it was so much fun. I went with my sisters and my parents. We stayed at a hotel right on the mountains, where we could go tubing. When we went down the hill, we would attach our tubes together and slide down altogether. We even tried taking a video as we were going down, and the video came out pretty funny!

DeleteI enjoy winter. I look forward to many holidays and things that happen during the winter season. It's my birthday, many people in my family's birthday, new years, Christmas, the Nutcracker and more. Although winter is a fun season it has many downsides. One of the biggest ones would be the amount of snow that we get, the ice and the cold. When it's freezing outside I pray for a snow day. On occasion I like to practice certain things for dance, watch movies and sleep in on extremely cold days.

DeleteI am not a huge fan of winter especially not on very cold days. I dont mind went its like -1 to -5 but when it gets into double digits i hate it. the only thing I like about the cold weather is when I get back home and put a big hoodie on and drink hot chocolate. During the colds days I usually dont do anything and I just sit at home watching netflix or tik toks. Some good snowy memories I have is when I go skiing with my cousin, but my favourite is when we went to tremblant and rented a cottage together. My bad snowy memories is probably just walking outside in the snow and cold on the daily and when my car got stuck in the snow on my street as I was leaving my house.

DeleteI think that winter is actually a fun season. WInter brings out the odr, the outdoor rinks, snow and a bunch of stuff. It's also always fun to go shoveling and make money on big storms. But winter can be the worst season sometimes, when the temperature descends to -25 and -30 around. Usually during the snowy days, like I said before I go shoveling to make money, and even on the cold days i Will still be outside. I think that my best snowy moment was about two years ago when there was around 15-20 inches of snow, and it was a snowy day. That day I made lots of money and just stayed outside almost the whole day. Also one of my good memories is sometimes throwing snowballs at cars, also being careful not to break them.

DeleteI have mixed feelings about winter. I like it because there are so many fun activities to do, like skating and tubing. I used to cross-country ski in the winter and it was so much fun. There are a lot of winter birthdays in my family, as well. After New Years, I usually get bored of the cold. I find winter depressing because it is always cloudy and windy. I hate wearing big jackets or gloves when it gets really cold.

DeleteI have mixed feelings about winter because of many reasons. I absolutely hate the cold. I am always cold in the winter and it sucks. But I also love to ski. Skiing is one of my favourite winter activities. I also love to skate and play hockey so that's another reason. Another reason I don't like winter is because the amount of sunlight on most days is really short which is frustrating because you blink and it's dark :) On a cold snowy day, I like to just stay in bed and watch Netflix and drink hot chocolate. mt favourite memory from a snow day was playing in the snow and building forts with friends and having snowball fights and then coming inside to drink hot chocolate.

DeletePersonally, I love winter! Although I may not love waiting for my bus for 20 minutes in -30 degree weather, I love watching the snowfall in bed wrapped in a cozy blanket while drinking hot chocolate. When it’s too cold to go outside to skate, walk or play in the snow, I like to have movie marathons and lay on the couch all day. When it snows, it makes me feel warm and cozy inside because the snow bundles up my house and blocks out the sound so I really have no worry in the world. I really do love winter and especially hot chocolate!

DeleteI actually like winter, I like snow and hot beverages. I don't like the heat very much which is why I prefer winter to summer, during the cold season I go snowboarding a lot during the weekends. It's a lot of fun and gives me something to do on the weekends, other than that I don't do much. I already don't go outside much so winter just gives me an excuse to stay inside more often.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't enjoy winter only because of how cold it can get. I do have to admit that I do enjoy missing school because of the major snowfalls, but otherwise I don't like it. I much rather prefer the hot sun then the cold snow. The only thing I do during the day that it snows is usually invite some friends over just so we can hang out. The only good memory that I have from winter is most probably waking up on a school day and finding out that I can stay home for the rest of the day. That happened in Secondary 1.

DeleteI don't really mind winter. Its sometimes hyped up to be way worse than it is. Most of the time it's not extremely cold and you can go outside easily. Although I'm especially not good at skating, It's a fun activity anyone could try during the cold seasons. Most of the time when its very cold, i'll stay inside and play some NHL. I can't say I've had any memories that stand out during the winter but I'm sure I have.

DeletePersonally I don't like winter that much.I can't play soccer outside and it's constantly freezing cold.There are some good parts to winter though, like snowboarding or hockey.When there's a snowstorm or a blizzard outside, I always stay inside where it's warm.I mostly watch netflix or play video games when it's snowing outside.I guess that when we're younger we enjoyed winter more.A couple years ago winter was the highlight of my year, I would always be outside having snowball fights or building forts.One year at my elementery school me and some of the boys build a huge fort with tons of tunnels inside.It was enormous.But the lunch ladies said it was a safty hazard and kicked it down.It was pretty secure and I think they kicked it down because they thought it was fun.

DeletePersonally Winter doesn't change much for me. Winter's colder, but I'd rather be freezing cold than in Winter than dying of heat stroke in Summer, I don't get to play football, but in Winter I can ski and stuff, plus it's not like Winter changes my daily schedule much, so honestly I'm fine with it. I have a few memories of Winter but the only ones that are actually related are skiing memories.

DeleteI dont really like winter but, I like the things that happen I winter like christmas, my bday and of course snow days. Every time it snows the next day I always think that there could be a chance to stay home in bed. I hate the cold the snow is pretty and fun to throw snow balls with but after mid february i'm done. I want summer back, I love summer way more then I love winter. I have a bad memory once I went tubbing but I was not feeling to good so when we where walking up the hill to go down again I threw up in the middle of the path. I could not sled for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeletepersonaly, winter is one ofo my favorite seasons. i agree that sometimes the weather can be annoying, but it gives a good excuse to stay inside and watch youtube or something. I also like all the activities you can do only in winter such as skiing, snowboard, having snowball fights, etc. to stay occupied during winter, i sometimes go skiing with my family, but most of the time i just use my PS4 or watch Youtube. I have a bad memory with snow but now that i look back at it, it's kind of funny. It was in kindergarden and one of my friends through a big snowball at me and it went in my face. I remember being very annoyed.

DeleteI think winter isn't as bad as it's usually described because during the winter I really enjoy doing things I can't do during the summer like skating and skiing, christmas and new years is also during winter, and i think the snow just makes these nights more fun and happier. Sometimes snow can be annoying especially when it goes in my boots and I could live without it sometimes but it's just such a big part of the holidays that it just wouldn't be as fun without it. During the winter I like doing activities like skiing and skating because they're really fun to do especially with family.

Whenever it's a bad storm, I make myself some hot chocolate and watch Netflix and it's really cozy and warm. I've had many memories with winter but they were more when I was younger. My brother and I used to build snowmans and forts and we had a lot of fun. So I feel like as I got older, I started to not like winter as much since it's so long and I always get sick.
ReplyDeleteI like winter a lot, because there’s lots of things you can do in the winter that you can’t do in the summer and vise versa, like building a snowman or going to the odr. Fluffy snow is the worst when going to the rink, because if you shoot the puck over the boards it’s actually gone forever. I keep busy with snowboarding when it comes to winter time, and of course the odr with friends.
